Skyline Ceiling Cooker Hood — The Flush-Fit Extractor That Doesn't Ask You to Compromise on Style
Not every ceiling cooker hood buyer is fitting out a bespoke kitchen with a six-figure budget. Some are renovating a good kitchen into a great one. Some are building their first home and want the flush-ceiling look they've seen on Instagram without the premium-model price tag. For those buyers, the Skyline exists — and it gives up less than you might expect.
At its core, the Skyline is a 90cm × 60cm flush-fit ceiling extractor with a 750m³/hr motor, a choice of three finishes, two motor configurations, and four dynamic LED spotlights with adjustable colour temperature. That last feature is worth dwelling on, because it's the kind of detail that typically appears on hoods costing twice as much.
Tunable LED lighting — warm to daylight, built in as standard
Each Skyline ships with four 3W dynamic LED spotlights adjustable from 2950 Kelvin all the way to 6500 Kelvin via the remote control. At 2950K the light is warm and amber — soft enough for ambient use over a dinner table. At 6500K it's clear, crisp daylight — ideal for focused task lighting when you're working at the hob. Most ceiling extractors in this price bracket offer fixed-temperature LEDs. The Skyline doesn't. That flexibility to match your kitchen's existing lighting colour temperature is a feature most buyers don't know to look for until they've installed a hood that can't do it.
750m³/hr — more than enough for most kitchens
The Skyline runs a B-rated motor delivering up to 750m³/hr of airflow. For context, UK building regulations recommend an extraction rate of at least 60 litres per second (216m³/hr) for kitchen ventilation — the Skyline operates at more than three times that threshold, with headroom for longer duct runs and less-than-ideal installation conditions. The motor rotates to align with your ducting direction, and the hood supports both ducted extraction to outside and internal recirculation via charcoal filters (sold separately), making it suitable for kitchens where external ducting isn't possible.
Fits the ceiling, fits the budget, fits the brief
The Skyline is available with two motor options. The slimline radial motor fits directly between standard UK ceiling joists for a true flush installation — no drop box required, no custom carpentry. The box-style motor suits drop-box and lowered-ceiling builds where the hood sits within a created recess, giving the same clean external appearance from below. Both options are available across all three finishes — Brushed Stainless Steel, Matt Black, and White — and all three are shown in the lifestyle imagery across a range of kitchen settings from modern open-plan through to traditional and Boho styles. The Skyline isn't a one-look product.
Ducted or recirculated. Remote controlled. Easy to install.
Compatible with 150mm round or 220mm × 90mm flat ducting, the Skyline is straightforward to connect to standard UK duct runs. The included remote controls both motor speed and LED settings. Dishwasher-safe aluminium grease filters are included as standard, and replacement charcoal filters are available direct from Luxair for recirculation setups. For buyers who'd rather not handle the installation themselves, Luxair's home survey and professional installation service is available on request.
