The Lazio is Luxair's handcrafted Italian island hood for standard kitchen islands — Venturi perimeter extraction that's up to 25% quieter than conventional designs, A+ 800m³/hr motor, dimmable LED lighting, and central chimney installation. 90cm or 120cm. Matt Black or Brushed Stainless Steel.

Lazio Island Cooker Hood — Italian Craftsmanship. Quieter by Design. Sized for Your Kitchen.

The Lazio is the right island cooker hood for buyers who've decided they want Italian quality and premium extraction, but whose kitchen has a 90cm hob rather than a wide range cooker, and whose open-plan layout means they'll notice every decibel the extractor produces. It brings the same Venturi Effect perimeter extraction technology as the Arezzo — the same handcrafted Italian build quality, the same A+ rated 700m³/hr motor — in 90cm and 120cm sizes that fit the majority of UK kitchen islands.

And it's quieter. Not marginally quieter — up to 25% quieter. The Venturi extraction design reduces operational noise by up to 3dB compared to conventional island hood designs by drawing air in smoothly around the full perimeter of the panel rather than forcing it through a central extraction point. In an open-plan kitchen where the extractor is audible from the living area, that difference is perceptible to everyone in the room.

Venturi perimeter extraction — the engineering behind the quiet

Air flows along the edge of the Lazio's full-body door panel and accelerates through the constricted perimeter channel — the Venturi Effect — creating a low-pressure zone that draws cooking vapours inward across the entire width of the hood. Because the air is moving smoothly and evenly rather than being dragged through a single central point, the motor works less hard at any given extraction rate, and the sound output drops accordingly. The heavy-duty metal grease filters, positioned within this airflow path, capture up to 80% of airborne grease before it reaches the motor — extending motor life and reducing the frequency of deep cleaning needed.

Central chimney — balanced airflow, cleaner installation

The Lazio uses a central chimney configuration: the duct connection rises from the centre of the hood rather than from the left or right side. In most new-build and renovation kitchens where the island duct has been planned from the outset, the duct rises directly above the island centreline — making a central chimney the natural, cleanest installation. The symmetrical design also means the hood looks balanced from any angle in the room, with the chimney appearing as a deliberate geometric element rather than an offset feature.

Dynamic dimmable LEDs — warm to cool, your choice

The Lazio's dimmable LED lighting is adjustable in colour temperature — warm tones for evening ambient use, cooler tones for task lighting during cooking. The black glass touch controls handle both fan speed and lighting from the panel itself, with no separate remote required for standard operation. For kitchens where the Lazio is installed at standard ceiling height and the island is centrally placed, the touch panel is within easy reach from most cooking positions.

Two sizes. Two finishes. Italian quality at the right scale.

Available in 90cm and 120cm, in Matt Black and Brushed Stainless Steel. The 90cm is suited to standard single-zone island hobs and compact kitchen islands. The 120cm provides extraction coverage for larger cooking surfaces and creates a stronger visual presence above a centrepiece island. Both carry the same A+ motor, the same Venturi extraction, and the same Italian craftsmanship. Ducted externally for best performance via 150mm (6") round or 220mm × 90mm flat ducting, or recirculated via charcoal filters where external ducting isn't possible. Register within 31 days of installation for seven years of parts and labour warranty.

Home Visit & Installation Advice
Confused? Unsure? Let Us Help You Choose A Kitchen Extractor

Luxair Cooker Hoods now offer a site visit by one of our qualified in-house engineers, where they will advise on the best option regarding what cooker hood suits your kitchen needs, they can also advise on the best way to run your ducting or if re-circulation may be best for your setup.

An installation service is also available upon request and completion of a Site or home Survey. Prices will vary dependent on installation required and will be quoted once an engineer has made his visit and all necessary observations are made in relation to your cooker hood installation.

What you need to know:

Another important reason to consider a site survey is to identify the most suitable cooker hood for the location of your kitchen or bathroom.

We will look at the very best option, taking into consideration the size of your kitchen, if the ceiling construction is suitable for a ceiling cooker hood, any potential regulation requirements and above all the correct motor size and ducting route to give you the optimum extraction you require.

Your Site Survey:

During a site survey, your Luxair engineer will discuss your requirements, taking into consideration the appropriate extraction output for the room, the relevant location within the kitchen and the most suitable ducting system for your cooker hood. If the installation is new, the site survey will identify the requirements for the ducting system, ventilation and clearances to any combustible materials to maintain safe use. The site survey will allow your Luxair engineer to provide you with the best advice, consequently avoiding any unexpected expense.

Please Note: All site surveys will be booked in directly with the engineers, who will contact you within 1 - 7 working days of your payment being processed. Our engineers will call you to arrange a date and time that is convenient to you. Book Here
