The Fob 2 operates on infrared and does not require pairing or any programming. Point it at the sensor on your cooker hood and it connects automatically. If it doesn't respond immediately, switch the power to your cooker hood off at the isolation switch, wait ten seconds, and switch back on — this resets the sensor and resolves the vast majority of connectivity issues on first use.
What it controls
The remote gives you full wireless control of your hood from anywhere in the kitchen:
- Fan speed — cycle through all available extraction speeds
- Lighting — turn the hood light on and off
- Power — turn the hood on and off without reaching up to the controls

Remove the metal grease filters from inside your cooker hood. On the inner underside of the main body you will find a silver or white label. This label shows one of the following — you only need one:
- S/N — for example: S/N 1234567
- Manufacture date — for example: July 2006
- LOTTO number — for example: LOTTO 1234567

My remote has stopped working — is it definitely broken?
Before ordering a replacement, try these steps first. Replace the battery — most Luxair fobs use a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, available from any supermarket or hardware store. Check there's a clear line of sight between the remote and the sensor on the hood with nothing blocking it. Finally, reset the hood by switching its power off at the isolation switch for ten seconds and switching back on. If none of these steps resolve it, the fob itself is the issue and a replacement will fix it.
What if I don't know my serial number?
Remove the metal grease filters from inside the hood. The serial label is on the inner underside of the main body — a silver or white sticker showing an S/N, manufacture date, or LOTTO number. If you can't locate it, take a clear photo of the inside of the hood and upload it using the photo field — our team will identify the model from the image and confirm the correct remote before shipping.
