150mm Round Ducting — 90° Elbow
This elbow connects two 150mm round rigid ducting sections at a right angle, routing the duct run smoothly through a 90° corner without restricting airflow. It is part of the Luxair System150 6" push-fit airtight ducting range.
Where This Component Is Used
This elbow is particularly suited to wall-mounted cooker hood installations where the duct is taken directly through the outside wall behind the extractor fan. The elbow connects the round outlet of the hood to the duct section passing through the wall — turning the run from vertical to horizontal in a single component directly behind the hood. It can also be used at any point in a round duct run where a 90° direction change is required.
45° Alternative for Better Airflow
Where the installation permits, using two 150mm 45° elbows in combination achieves the same effective 90° direction change with significantly less airflow resistance and back-pressure than a single 90° elbow. If extraction performance is a priority and space allows, the two-elbow approach is the preferred solution.
Ducting Size Guide
Selecting the correct ducting diameter for your motor output ensures maximum extraction performance:
- Below 450m³/hr → 100mm (4") ducting
- 450–750m³/hr → 125mm (5") or 150mm (6") ducting
- 750–2,000m³/hr → 150mm (6") or 200mm (8") ducting
The System150 6" Ducting Range
This component is part of the Luxair System150 range — combining 150mm round ducting and 220mm × 90mm flat rectangular ducting, both carrying equivalent airflow rates and fully interchangeable within the system via adapters. All components connect by push-fit for a patent-protected airtight seal with no ducting tape, adhesive, or clips required. The full range includes straight pipe sections, connectors, adapters, and wall vents to complete any standard extraction installation.
