150mm Round to 220mm × 90mm Flat Ducting — 90° Elbow
This elbow connects a 150mm round ducting pipe (or 150mm flexible aluminium tube) to a 220mm × 90mm flat rectangular ducting pipe at a right angle. It transitions between round and flat duct formats while simultaneously changing the direction of the duct run by 90°, routing the installation smoothly through a corner without the need for a separate straight adapter and elbow. It is part of the Luxair System150 6" push-fit airtight ducting range.
Where This Component Is Used
Use this elbow wherever the duct run needs to both transition between round and flat formats and change direction at 90° in a single component — most commonly where a 150mm round outlet on a cooker hood or ceiling extractor meets a flat rectangular duct run that turns immediately at the connection point. It is particularly useful in ceiling hood installations where the round motor outlet transitions directly into a flat duct run running horizontally along the ceiling void or above a bulkhead.
Ducting Size Guide
Selecting the correct ducting diameter for your motor output ensures maximum extraction performance:
- Below 450m³/hr → 100mm (4") ducting
- 450–750m³/hr → 125mm (5") or 150mm (6") ducting
- 750–2,000m³/hr → 150mm (6") or 200mm (8") ducting
The System150 6" Ducting Range
This component is part of the Luxair System150 range — combining 220mm × 90mm flat rectangular ducting and 150mm round ducting, both carrying equivalent airflow rates and fully interchangeable within the system. All components connect by push-fit for a patent-protected airtight seal with no ducting tape, adhesive, or clips required. The full range includes straight pipe sections, bends, elbows, connectors, adapters, and wall vents to complete any standard extraction installation.
