150mm Semi-Rigid Aluminium Flexible Ducting — 3 Metres
This is a 3 metre length of 150mm semi-rigid aluminium flexible ducting. Unlike fully flexible corrugated tube, this semi-rigid hose can be bent into shape by hand and holds the position it is formed into — making it suitable for duct runs that require a firm, fixed-shape flexible section rather than a loose, unsupported hose. It is compatible with the Luxair System150 6" ducting range.
Important — Not a Push-Fit Self-Sealing Component
This semi-rigid hose does not self-seal at connections. A 150mm collar connector is required to join this hose to 150mm rigid ducting pipe, and ducting tape should be used at all joints to ensure an airtight seal. Unlike the push-fit components in the System150 range, this hose relies on the collar and tape to
complete the connection.
When to Use Semi-Rigid vs Rigid Ducting
Semi-rigid flexible hose is the correct choice where rigid pipe sections cannot be installed due to restricted access, irregular angles, or tight spaces — but where a fully flexible corrugated tube would be too unsupported or loose for the installation. The semi-rigid construction holds the formed shape without additional support, making it particularly useful for short transition sections
between rigid duct runs. For maximum extraction efficiency, keep the flexible section as short as possible — the 4mm corrugation depth creates more airflow resistance than smooth-walled rigid pipe.
Ducting Size Guide
Selecting the correct ducting diameter for your motor output ensures maximum extraction performance:
- Below 450m³/hr → 100mm (4") ducting
- 450–750m³/hr → 125mm (5") or 150mm (6") ducting
- 750–2,000m³/hr → 150mm (6") or 200mm (8") ducting
The System150 6" Ducting Range
This hose is compatible with the Luxair System150 range — combining 150mm round ducting and 220mm × 90mm flat rectangular ducting, both carrying equivalent airflow rates
and fully interchangeable within the system via adapters. Use rigid components wherever possible and this semi-rigid hose only where rigid components cannot be fitted.
