220mm × 90mm Flat Ducting — Horizontal 90° Elbow
This elbow connects two 220mm × 90mm flat rectangular ducting sections at a horizontal right angle, routing the duct run smoothly through a 90° corner in the horizontal plane without restricting airflow. It is part of the Luxair System150 6" push-fit airtight ducting range.
Where This Component Is Used
Use this elbow where a flat rectangular duct run needs to change direction horizontally — typically where the duct turns a corner along a wall at the same height, such as running along the top of kitchen wall units and turning a room corner, or where a duct run follows the perimeter of a room and changes direction within a ceiling soffit or above a bulkhead. The horizontal elbow keeps the duct run at a consistent height throughout the turn, whereas the vertical elbow changes the height of the run.
45° Alternative for Better Airflow
Where the installation permits, using two 220mm × 90mm 45° vertical elbows in combination achieves the same effective direction change as a single 90° elbow with significantly less airflow resistance and back-pressure. If extraction performance is a priority and space allows, the two-elbow approach is the preferred solution.
