The Arezzo is Luxair's handcrafted Italian island cooker hood — Venturi Effect perimeter extraction, A+ 800m³/hr motor, dimmable LED lighting, and dual chimney positioning so left or right installation is always an option. 50mm slimline profile. 150cm, or 180cm. Stainless Steel or Black.
Arezzo Island Cooker Hood — Handcrafted in Italy, Engineered for the Kitchen It Stands In
Island cooker hoods are the most visible appliance in an open-plan kitchen. They hang in the middle of the room, suspended above the hob, framed by the space around them. What that means in practice is that the Arezzo doesn't just need to extract well — it needs to look like it belongs there. Like it was chosen, not just fitted.
The Arezzo Island is handcrafted in Italy, and the difference that makes is visible in the way the components meet: the 50mm slimline profile, the black glass touch control panel, the hidden grease filters behind the door, the clean geometry of the chimney. At 150cm, or 180cm wide, it's sized for serious cooking surfaces — and the A+ rated 800m³/hr motor with Venturi Effect perimeter extraction means it performs at a level to match.
Venturi Effect extraction — what it means and why it matters
Most island hoods draw air downward through a central motor housing. The Arezzo works differently. Its perimeter extraction design uses the Venturi Effect — air is drawn in and accelerates as it passes through the constricted edge channel around the glass panel, creating a low-pressure zone that pulls steam and cooking odours inward across the full width of the hood before the motor extracts them. The result is more even coverage across a wide cooking surface, more efficient capture at lower motor speeds, and less chance of steam escaping around the edges of the hood during high-heat cooking. It's a physics-based performance advantage that a conventional downward-draw design simply can't replicate.
Dual controls — left chimney or right chimney, your choice
One of the most common complications with island hood installation is the duct rise position. In most kitchens the duct comes up through the ceiling at a fixed point — and that point determines which way the chimney must face to connect to it cleanly. The Arezzo solves this with dual controls: the chimney can be positioned to the left or the right of the hood body without any modification. Whether your duct rises on the left side of the island or the right, the Arezzo accommodates it. This is the kind of installation flexibility that saves significant time and cost on the day, and it's a feature most island hood buyers don't know to look for until they're standing on a stepladder with a duct that doesn't align.
Dynamic dimmable LEDs — tunable colour temperature
Two 10.6W dynamic LED lights are built into the underside of the Arezzo, dimmable and adjustable in colour temperature. Press and hold the light button and select speed 1 for warmer light or speed 2 for cooler — matching the hood's lighting to your kitchen's existing colour temperature, or shifting it depending on the time of day. At full brightness above an island hob, this is genuinely useful task lighting. Dimmed during dinner, it provides a warm ambient glow. Both modes are available without any secondary remote or app — just the existing touch control panel.
Built to last. Designed to be seen.
