For light-coloured kitchens, Scandi schemes, shaker-style designs, and country kitchens where a dark or steel extractor would dominate rather than complement, the Caporra Island White is the answer that most island hood buyers have been looking for and couldn't find.
But finish aside, the Caporra Island's defining design feature is the LED surround ring — a full dimmable perimeter of light that traces the outer edge of the hood body. It's a different proposition from spotlights or strip LEDs underneath. Above a kitchen island, the surround ring projects downward onto the cooking surface and outward across the kitchen simultaneously, creating a halo effect that doubles as ambient lighting when the extraction isn't running and as focused task lighting when it is.
Venturi perimeter extraction — up to 25% quieter
The Caporra Island uses the same Venturi Effect perimeter extraction technology as the Lazio — air drawn in and accelerated around the full edge of the hood body, creating a smooth, even airflow across the entire extraction surface rather than a single central draw. The result is up to 25% quieter operation (3dB) compared to conventional island hood designs, and a 700m³/hr A+ rated motor that works efficiently across all three fan speeds. Central chimney — balanced airflow, clean installation
Like the Lazio, the Caporra Island uses a central chimney design — the duct connection rises from the centre of the hood, providing balanced airflow and a symmetrical aesthetic from every angle. For kitchens where the duct rises directly above the island centreline, the Caporra Island installation is the cleanest possible: no offset chimney, no visual imbalance, just a hood that looks as purposeful as it performs.
Design continuity across your whole kitchen
The Caporra is the only Luxair range available across four installation types — ceiling, island, wall-mounted, and canopy. If your kitchen has both an island hob and a wall hob, or a kitchen island and a range cooker against the wall, the Caporra design and LED surround can run consistently across both extraction points. That cross-format design continuity is unique in the Luxair range and genuinely difficult to find anywhere else at this specification level.

Available in 90cm and 120cm, all three finishes. Ducted externally via 150mm (6") round or 220mm × 90mm flat ducting for optimal performance, or configured for recirculation with charcoal filters. Heavy-duty dishwasher-safe metal grease filters included as standard. Register within 31 days of installation for seven years of parts and labour warranty.
