Luxair's Curved Glass Island hood brings classic Italian design to the kitchen island — 8mm tempered glass canopy, 850m³/hr motor with super boost, adjustable telescopic chimney, and four colour options including Ivory. The only curved glass island hood in the Luxair range. 70cm or 90cm.

Curved Glass Island Cooker Hood — For Kitchens That Aren't Contemporary. Italian-Made, Four Colours, 8mm Glass.

The island cooker hood market is dominated by flat profiles, black glass panels, and contemporary architecture. That suits a lot of kitchens very well. It suits a traditional kitchen, a Shaker kitchen, a country kitchen, or a classic farmhouse kitchen very poorly. For those kitchens, there has always been a gap — between the island extraction performance buyers need and the designs that would actually look right above the hob.

Luxair's Curved Glass Island hood is built for exactly that buyer. The 8mm tempered safety glass sweeps outward and downward in the classic curved canopy form that has been the visual language of premium kitchen extraction for decades. Italian-made, available in four colours — Ivory, White, Black, and Stainless Steel — with a telescopic chimney that adjusts to fit different ceiling heights, it is the island hood for kitchens that value timeless design as much as modern performance.

8mm tempered glass — the detail that defines the quality tier

Glass thickness is one of the clearest quality indicators in curved glass hoods. Budget alternatives use 5mm glass that flexes under cleaning pressure, shows fingerprints more readily, and lacks the visual weight that makes a premium curved glass hood feel substantial. The Luxair Curved Glass Island uses 8mm tempered safety glass across all colour options — thick enough to feel genuinely solid, tempered to withstand kitchen heat and impact, and smoked black on the underside as standard to conceal the extraction mechanics and maintain the clean aesthetic from below.

Four colours — including Ivory, the rarest finish in the island range

The Curved Glass Island is available in Ivory, White, Black, and Brushed Stainless Steel. Ivory in particular is entirely unrepresented in the rest of the Luxair island range — no other island hood Luxair makes comes in this finish. For cream Shaker kitchens, warm country schemes, and traditional fitted designs in heritage tones, Ivory is the natural choice and historically the hardest colour to find in an island hood with genuine extraction performance. The White option suits contemporary-meets-classic designs where the full black or steel profile of other island hoods feels too industrial. Black and Stainless Steel cover the contemporary end of the traditional spectrum.

850m³/hr with super boost — performance to match any kitchen

The motor delivers 850m³/hr across three fan speeds with a super boost mode for high-heat cooking moments. For a 70cm or 90cm island hob — the sizes for which this hood is sized — that extraction capacity is more than adequate for even heavy daily cooking. The adjustable telescopic chimney accommodates different ceiling heights, removing one of the most common curved glass island hood installation complications without requiring custom modifications. Duct externally via 150mm (6") round ducting for maximum performance, or install with charcoal filters for recirculation where external ducting isn't possible.

Italian craftsmanship, trusted for decades

Four 1.3W LED lights provide task lighting below the glass canopy, and dishwasher-safe aluminium grease filters are accessible and easy to maintain. Register within 31 days of installation for seven years of parts and labour warranty coverage.

Home Visit & Installation Advice
Confused? Unsure? Let Us Help You Choose A Kitchen Extractor

Luxair Cooker Hoods now offer a site visit by one of our qualified in-house engineers, where they will advise on the best option regarding what cooker hood suits your kitchen needs, they can also advise on the best way to run your ducting or if re-circulation may be best for your setup.

An installation service is also available upon request and completion of a Site or home Survey. Prices will vary dependent on installation required and will be quoted once an engineer has made his visit and all necessary observations are made in relation to your cooker hood installation.

What you need to know:

Another important reason to consider a site survey is to identify the most suitable cooker hood for the location of your kitchen or bathroom.

We will look at the very best option, taking into consideration the size of your kitchen, if the ceiling construction is suitable for a ceiling cooker hood, any potential regulation requirements and above all the correct motor size and ducting route to give you the optimum extraction you require.

Your Site Survey:

During a site survey, your Luxair engineer will discuss your requirements, taking into consideration the appropriate extraction output for the room, the relevant location within the kitchen and the most suitable ducting system for your cooker hood. If the installation is new, the site survey will identify the requirements for the ducting system, ventilation and clearances to any combustible materials to maintain safe use. The site survey will allow your Luxair engineer to provide you with the best advice, consequently avoiding any unexpected expense.

Please Note: All site surveys will be booked in directly with the engineers, who will contact you within 1 - 7 working days of your payment being processed. Our engineers will call you to arrange a date and time that is convenient to you. Book Here
