The Flat Glass Island is the T-shape form with one practical upgrade: a removable glass canopy that lifts off for cleaning A powerful 850m³/hr motor, 18/10 welded stainless steel, timer function. Works across traditional, transitional, and contemporary kitchens. 70cm or 90cm. Black or Stainless Steel.

Flat Glass Island Cooker Hood — The T-Shape Form, With a Glass Canopy

The Flat Glass Island and the T-Shape Island share the same bones — the same 18/10 stainless steel construction with fully welded and polished joints, the same 850m³/hr motor, the same timer function and push-button controls. What separates them is one component: the glass canopy.

On the Flat Glass Island, it features removable glass canopy that lifts off completely for cleaning — no awkward angles.

A hood that works across more kitchen styles than most

The lifestyle imagery for the Flat Glass Island is notable for its range. In stainless steel, it appears above a traditional navy blue kitchen with wooden features — a context where most contemporary island hoods would look out of place — as well as in a sleek modern kitchen with a marble worktop and a minimalist grey setting. In black, it works in a Shaker-style navy kitchen with marble counters and in a clean minimalist space. This breadth is unusual. The combination of the T-shape chimney form, the flat glass profile, and the two finishes means the Flat Glass Island sits comfortably in traditional, transitional, and contemporary schemes equally — which makes it one of the most versatile island hoods in the range.

850m³/hr, 18/10 steel, fully welded — the spec that justifies the purchase

The Flat Glass Island runs an 850m³/hr motor across three fan speeds with a timer function for automatic shut-off. The construction uses 18/10 grade stainless steel throughout — the same specification as the T-Shape and the same grade used in professional kitchen equipment — with every joint fully welded and polished to a seamless finish. Four 1.3W LED lights at 4000K provide neutral white task lighting. Available in 70cm and 90cm, in Brushed Stainless Steel and Matt Black. Ducted via 150mm (6") ducting for best performance, or recirculated with charcoal filters. Register within 31 days for seven years of parts and labour warranty.

Home Visit & Installation Advice
Confused? Unsure? Let Us Help You Choose A Kitchen Extractor

Luxair Cooker Hoods now offer a site visit by one of our qualified in-house engineers, where they will advise on the best option regarding what cooker hood suits your kitchen needs, they can also advise on the best way to run your ducting or if re-circulation may be best for your setup.

An installation service is also available upon request and completion of a Site or home Survey. Prices will vary dependent on installation required and will be quoted once an engineer has made his visit and all necessary observations are made in relation to your cooker hood installation.

What you need to know:

Another important reason to consider a site survey is to identify the most suitable cooker hood for the location of your kitchen or bathroom.

We will look at the very best option, taking into consideration the size of your kitchen, if the ceiling construction is suitable for a ceiling cooker hood, any potential regulation requirements and above all the correct motor size and ducting route to give you the optimum extraction you require.

Your Site Survey:

During a site survey, your Luxair engineer will discuss your requirements, taking into consideration the appropriate extraction output for the room, the relevant location within the kitchen and the most suitable ducting system for your cooker hood. If the installation is new, the site survey will identify the requirements for the ducting system, ventilation and clearances to any combustible materials to maintain safe use. The site survey will allow your Luxair engineer to provide you with the best advice, consequently avoiding any unexpected expense.

Please Note: All site surveys will be booked in directly with the engineers, who will contact you within 1 - 7 working days of your payment being processed. Our engineers will call you to arrange a date and time that is convenient to you. Book Here
