The only round island cooker hood in the Luxair range. Polished stainless steel glass canopy, blue accent LEDs glowing through the glass above the hob, three white task downlights below it, 850m³/hr motor, and remote control as standard. 70cm or 90cm. A deliberate design choice for kitchens that want something different.
Round Glass Island Cooker Hood
There is a certain kitchen that doesn't want a rectangular island hood. The kitchen where the design is already geometric — where cabinets, worktops, and ceiling lines create a grid of horizontals and verticals — and what it needs above the island isn't another element that reinforces that grid. It needs something that breaks it.
The Luxair Round Glass Island hood is the only circular island extractor in the Luxair range. Suspended above the hob in polished stainless steel with a glass canopy, it reads from every angle in the room as a deliberate design choice rather than a functional addition. The round profile is visible from the dining area, the living room, and the entrance to the kitchen simultaneously — and from all three positions, it holds the space in a way a rectangular hood cannot.
Dual LED lighting — blue through the glass, white below it
The Round Glass Island has two distinct light sources that operate together as a layered system. Blue accent LEDs illuminate from within the glass canopy — the light passes through the glass and creates a soft, atmospheric glow around the perimeter of the hood. Three 1.3W LED downlights at 4000K project clear, neutral white task lighting directly onto the cooking surface below. The effect at evening — blue ambient above, white functional below — is something most island hoods simply cannot replicate with a single LED type. Remote controlled as standard, both lighting systems are managed from the included remote without needing to reach the hood body.
850m³/hr motor — remote controlled as standard
The Round Glass Island's 850m³/hr motor runs across three fan speeds and is operated entirely by the included remote control — there are no touch controls on the hood body itself. For a round hood installed at ceiling height above an island, this is the only sensible arrangement: the remote handles fan speed, boost, and lighting from anywhere in the room without requiring physical contact with a hood that may be difficult to reach. Ducted externally for best performance, or configured for recirculation with charcoal filters where external ducting isn't possible. Dishwasher-safe aluminium grease filters are included as standard.
70cm or 90cm. Polished stainless steel. Centrepiece by design.
Available in 70cm and 90cm, both in the same polished stainless steel finish with glass canopy. The 70cm suits compact island configurations and smaller kitchen footprints where a 90cm circular form would dominate disproportionately. The 90cm is the full statement — a wide, polished circle above a central island hob, visible from the full length of an open-plan kitchen.
