Pyramid Chimney Cooker Hood — The Classic Form. Four Colours. Six Sizes. Every Kitchen.
The pyramid chimney shape is the most recognised form in kitchen extraction. A flaring body rising to a chimney flue, mounted above the hob against the wall — it's been the visual anchor of British kitchens for decades, in farmhouse ranges, Shaker fitted kitchens, Victorian terraces, and modern open-plan homes alike. The reason it's persisted is simple: it works. Visually, it creates a focal point above the cooking area. Practically, the chimney flue provides the extraction path, the adjustable telescopic section accommodates different ceiling heights, and the classic proportions suit more kitchen styles than any other hood design.
Luxair's Pyramid is the version of that classic form with the widest specification in the range: six sizes from 60cm to 110cm, four colour options including Ivory-Cream, 18/10 stainless steel construction with fully welded seams, and two motor tiers matched to the size — ensuring the extraction capacity is appropriate for the kitchen it's serving.
Four colours — including Ivory, which is hard to find
Black and Stainless Steel are standard across the industry. White is common. Ivory-Cream is not. Most chimney hood manufacturers offer at most two or three finishes, and Ivory-Cream is rarely among them — yet it's the finish that suits cream Shaker kitchens, neutral heritage tones, warm traditional schemes, and farmhouse kitchens most naturally. Buyers searching for an ivory chimney cooker hood have often already looked at competitors and found nothing. The Pyramid Ivory-Cream is the answer that most of the market doesn't provide. Black suits dark, bold, and contemporary schemes. Stainless Steel covers the neutral modern and contemporary traditional range. White suits light, bright, and Scandi or boho-inspired kitchens. All four are available across all six sizes.
Six sizes — from compact hobs to wide range cookers
The Pyramid covers 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, and 90cm for standard hobs and compact range cookers, and 100cm and 110cm for wider range cookers and professional-sized cooking setups. The motor scales with the size: 60–90cm hoods use a 550m³/hr motor appropriate for standard hobs and medium-sized kitchens; the 100cm and 110cm hoods step up to an 850m³/hr motor to match the higher extraction demands of a large range cooker in a bigger kitchen. The 110cm in particular is a size most wall hood manufacturers don't reach — for buyers with a wide range cooker who've found that most of the market stops at 90cm, it fills a specific and underserved need.
18/10 welded construction — built properly
The Stainless Steel variant is built from 18/10 grade stainless steel with all joints fully welded and polished. The coloured variants (Black, Ivory-Cream, White) use the same steel construction with a powder-coated finish applied over it — not a cheap painted surface, but a durable factory-applied coating on a properly built substrate. The telescopic chimney section adjusts to fit different ceiling heights without modification. LED lighting — two 1.3W bulbs — illuminates the hob below. Dishwasher-safe aluminium grease filters are included and straightforward to remove for cleaning. Ducted externally for best performance, or recirculated with charcoal filters.
