Why Round Rigid Ducting Outperforms Flexible and Rectangular Alternatives
Round rigid ducting delivers superior airflow performance compared to both flexible aluminium tube and rectangular ducting of a comparable size. The circular cross-section and smooth interior walls minimise turbulence and resistance, allowing the motor to extract at its rated capacity across the full length of the duct run. Luxair recommends rigid round ducting for all ceiling extractor hoods and all extractors with a minimum motor speed of 350m³/hr.

Below 450m³/hr → 100mm (4") ducting
450–750m³/hr → 125mm (5") or 150mm (6") ducting

The 5" Push-Fit System
