The Caporra goes in three ways — ceiling, canopy, or drop-box — and comes out looking like one thing: exceptional. A++ brushless motor. Dimmable LED surround lighting. Boost mode. Four sizes from 90cm × 30cm to 120cm × 50cm. Stainless Steel, Matt Black, or White. Backed by a free 7-year warranty.
Caporra Ceiling Cooker Hood — Three Ways to Install, One Way to Stand Out
Most ceiling extractor fans ask you to work around them. The Caporra works around you. It installs in three genuinely distinct configurations — flush into a ceiling void, dropped into a custom box section, or fitted as a canopy hood where the ceiling isn't accessible at all. Whatever your kitchen throws at it structurally, the Caporra has an answer. And whichever way it goes in, the result looks the same from below: a clean, frameless panel, a ring of dimmable LED surround lighting, and nothing else.
The surround LED — a detail that changes the room
There's a reason the Caporra's LED surround lighting tends to be the first thing people mention. It isn't spotlights, it isn't strips hidden in a slot — it's a full perimeter of dimmable light running around the entire face of the hood, casting an even, shadow-free glow across your hob and worktop below. In a dark kitchen or an open-plan space where mood matters, it makes the Caporra into both an extractor and a centrepiece. Turn it down low for ambient light over a dinner, or up full for task lighting when you're working at the hob. The remote handles it from anywhere in the room.
A++ brushless motor — the numbers that matter
The Caporra runs on an A++ rated brushless motor — the highest energy efficiency classification available. On low extraction speeds, energy consumption drops by up to 85% compared to a conventional motor. At full power it's still significantly more efficient, and because brushless motors generate no contact friction, it operates up to 3dB(A) quieter than equivalent standard extractors. For a kitchen where the hood runs daily, that quieter, leaner motor compounds into meaningful savings on energy bills over the life of the appliance.
Boost mode for the moments that need it
When cooking generates heavy steam or smoke — a high-heat sear, a deep-fry, a large batch cook — the Caporra's Boost Mode delivers maximum airflow for a timed burst before automatically resetting to your preferred speed. No manual adjustment needed mid-cook. The hood manages the heavy lifting, then steps back.
Four sizes. Two depths. Every kitchen covered.
The Caporra comes in 90cm and 120cm widths, each available in 30cm or 50cm depth — giving you four footprint options to match your hob and kitchen island precisely. The slimline 30cm depth models can duct from the top as well as the side, with the motor rotating 90° to align with any ducting route. The 50cm depth models use a slimline radial motor that fits directly between standard UK ceiling joists, making them the cleanest possible flush installation for new builds and renovations. For installations where even joist-fit access isn't possible, Luxair's optional external motor kit relocates the motor entirely — into a loft, cupboard, or adjacent space — for near-silent in-room operation.
