200mm Round Ducting — 90° Elbow
This elbow connects two 200mm round rigid ducting sections at a right angle, routing the duct run smoothly through a 90° corner. It is part of the Luxair 8" ducting range for high-power extraction systems.
Important — Ducting Tape Required at All Joints
This elbow is not self-sealing push-fit. Unlike the push-fit components in the Luxair 125mm and 150mm ducting ranges, this 200mm elbow requires ducting tape to be applied at both joints to ensure an airtight seal throughout the duct run. Failure to tape the joints will result in air leakage and reduced extraction performance.
Where This Component Is Used
This elbow is particularly suited to wall-mounted cooker hood installations where the duct is taken directly through the outside wall behind the extractor fan — connecting the round outlet of the hood to the duct section passing through the wall and turning the run from vertical to horizontal in a single component. It can also be used at any point in a 200mm round duct run where a 90° direction change is required.
Note on Product Appearance
This elbow may arrive in a different colour from the image shown — this is normal variation across production batches. All elbows supplied are the correct part for the Luxair 200mm ducting range regardless of colour.
200mm Ducting Is Required for High-Power Motors
Cooker hoods with motor ratings between 950m³/hr and 2,000m³/hr must be installed with 200mm (8") ducting to achieve full extraction performance and quiet operation. Using smaller diameter ducting on these motors increases operational noise and hood vibration. Always use 200mm ducting throughout the complete duct run on any hood rated above 950m³/hr.
Ducting Size Guide
Selecting the correct ducting diameter for your motor output ensures maximum extraction performance:
- Below 450m³/hr → 100mm (4") ducting
- 450–750m³/hr → 125mm (5") or 150mm (6") ducting
- 750–2,000m³/hr → 150mm (6") or 200mm (8") ducting
