Luxair replacement aluminium grease filter — all sizes

This is the genuine Luxair replacement aluminium grease filter for compatible cooker hoods, available in a wide range of sizes to suit the full Luxair range and many other makes and models. Use the size dropdown above to select the filter that matches your existing one — the size shown in each option is the size you will receive. Product images are for illustrative purposes only and should not be used to determine size.

How to find the right size

Measure your existing filter in millimetres — width first, then height. Select the closest matching size from the dropdown above.

Minor variations of 1–3mm between your existing filter and the replacement are normal and will not affect fit or performance. If your existing filter measures 200mm × 300mm and the closest available size is 202mm × 298mm, it will fit correctly.

If the back tabs on your replacement filter don't align perfectly with your hood's tab holes, you can push the existing tabs flat with a screwdriver, mark the correct positions, and cut new tabs with a sharp Stanley knife — fold them out and the filter will fit securely. This is a simple adjustment that takes a few minutes and requires no specialist tools.

If you are unsure which size is correct for your hood, upload your serial number label using the field on this page or enter your serial number, and our team will confirm the correct size before your order is despatched.

Fitting

When your filter arrives it may have a blue protective film around the outer edge — peel this off before fitting. It is there solely to protect the steel edges during transit and serves no other purpose once installed.

Cleaning and maintenance

Aluminium grease filters should be cleaned at least once a month to maintain extraction performance and prevent grease build-up from reaching the motor.

They are dishwasher-safe — place upright in the dishwasher as you would a plate. Wash at a maximum of [45°C or 60°C — confirm and align across all pages]. After washing, allow the filter to dry on an absorbent surface before refitting.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, thinners, solvents, hydrochloric acid, bleach, alcohol, or alkaline detergents with a pH higher than 7 — these can permanently discolour the filter surface. Discolouration from cleaning does not affect the filter's extraction performance in any way.

Warranty notice

Grease filters are consumable items and are not covered by the Luxair product warranty. Regular cleaning extends their working life significantly, but filters that are heavily saturated or structurally damaged should be replaced — a blocked grease filter restricts airflow to the motor and reduces extraction performance over time.

Frequently asked questions

How do I measure my existing filter correctly?
Remove the filter from your hood — it will either slide, clip, or push out depending on your model. Lay it flat and measure width first, then height, in millimetres. Select the closest available size from the dropdown. A 1–3mm difference is acceptable and will not affect fit or performance.

The tab holes on my hood don't match the new filter tabs — what do I do?
Push the existing tabs flat with a screwdriver. Mark the correct tab hole positions on the filter frame, score with a Stanley knife, and fold the new tabs out to align with your hood's mounting holes. This is a standard adjustment for older or non-standard hood models and takes a few minutes.

How often should I clean my grease filter?
At least once a month under normal cooking use. If you cook frequently or with a lot of oil, cleaning every two to three weeks keeps extraction performance at its best and extends the life of your motor.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?
Yes — dishwasher-safe. Place upright as you would a plate. Wash at a maximum of [confirm temperature]. Do not use the cleaning products listed above. Allow to dry before refitting.

Will cleaning discolour the filter?
Some discolouration can occur over time, particularly if the wash temperature is exceeded or stronger detergents are used. This is cosmetic only and does not affect the filter's grease capture performance.

My filter size isn't in the dropdown — what should I do?
Upload your serial number label using the photo field on this page or enter your serial number in the text field — our team will identify your hood model and advise on the correct filter size. Alternatively contact us directly via the Contact Us page with your hood model name and we'll help you find the right match.

Is this a genuine Luxair part?
Yes. This is a genuine Luxair replacement aluminium grease filter. Third-party filters may not fit correctly or provide equivalent grease capture performance.

Not sure which size you need? Upload your serial number label or enter your serial number using the fields on this page and our team will confirm the correct filter size for your specific hood.
